My latest pattern is here.
Introducing the Walk Amongst the Pines Hat. My first pattern design inspired this design - the Walk Amongst the Pines Cowl, which I designed as part of the Initiate Knit Design Challenge by Aroha Knits. Ever since I designed that cowl, I knew I wanted to see this pine tree lace in a hat.
My original intention had been to do a fitted beanie with bulky yarn, similar to what I used for the cowl. But I had some Knit Picks Swish Worsted leftover from another project in the perfect colour, so I decided to work with that instead.
When I blocked the hat, it turned out with a beautiful slouchy fit, proof that even if things turn out differently than expected, they can still be wonderful (and sometimes better than we ever imagined).
No matter the weather, taking a walk amongst the pine trees is an opportunity to connect with nature and to appreciate the unwavering beauty of the world around us. Inspired by the beautiful pine trees that stay green all year long, the Walk Amongst the Pines Hat is sure to be a staple in your fall wardrobe. This slouchy style beanie is knit in a soft worsted weight, making it lightweight yet cozy, perfect for those crisp fall days.
The Walk Amongst the Pines hat is a beautiful knit hat with a simple repeat pine tree lace stitch. Knit from the bottom up in-the-round; this project knits up quickly. This pattern is great for experienced beginners looking to try lace knitting! Just don’t forget your stitch markers!
Sizes available: One size fits most (but options for size adjustment available).
Recommended yarn: Knit Picks Swish Worsted (sample in colourway Dublin) or similar worsted weight yarn.
